Some treatment options may involve compounded medications. Compounded drugs are prepared by a pharmacy to meet a specific need and are not FDA-approved. We say so plainly wherever a compounded option appears.
Whether a compounded option is appropriate for you is a decision your licensed provider makes with you — never a default, and never automatic.
